After Race 9 Brett Burvill didn't need to sail the last three races to clinch the national championship. He sailed a near perfect series with his two drops being 2nds. Rohan Langworthy pulled out all stops and managed to hold out Jack Benson for second place. Allan Gamble finished well to be beaten into 4th place by Dave Hart.
The notable performances of the regatta would have to be Andy Griffin who at 67 had 2 top three finishes with a 2nd and a 3rd. The other notable was from youngster Ethan Neaves who turned 16 years old during the regatta and showed great consistency on an old boat with an aluminum rig who often finisehd in front of more experienced skippers, newer boats and with carbon masts.
The other great tussle was at the rear of the fleet where Glenn Neaves and Steve Goble tested each other for DFL. Glenn and Lucille's consistency earlier in the regatta saved them as Steve and Adam in their first year on a Tornado showed great improvement over the regatta.
